You are powerful!

Do you believe it?

Since a very young age, I wanted to become a powerful woman. It was all I could think about. It's like I had no other way.

A smart one. Creative. Inspiring and helping others.

One that people respect.

Someone I look up to, more than anyone else.

Someone who is so proud of her business.

Someone who is proud to rise even tho I had a very challenging childhood.

Today’s question is brought to you by AARP:

Whether you want to enjoy discounts on things like travel, restaurants, and eyeglasses, or get resources and information on social security, jobs, caregiving and retirement planning,

AARP provides members with a wealth of opportunities to save money, play, learn and volunteer. Plus, you’ll get monthly AARP Bulletin & bi-monthly AARP The Magazine.

When I look up to myself, everyone around me looks up to me.

And even if they don't - it doesn't matter, because I know the truth.

Someone I would like to become best friends with, so much so that if I were to meet a duplicate of myself, we would hit it off instantly.

To become someone like that, I needed to develop decency and authenticity, and I had to stick to my word.

If I tell myself I am going to sleep early, I actually will, because I trust myself and respect my word towards myself.

This is what it means for me - a powerful self.

What does it mean to become a powerful person for you?
